The beloved Bay Area Craft Beer Festival is back with a twist—this year, it is joining forces with the City of Martinez Sesquicentennial Festival to celebrate 150 years of community history set along the scenic Carquinez Strait!

Step into a magical, screen-free weekend celebrating 70 years of puppetry at the country’s oldest continuously operating puppet theater. Often called "Coachella for puppet lovers," this annual festival brings together master puppeteers from across the nation—including the iconic Bob Baker Marionette Theater—for a weekend packed with live shows across multiple outdoor stages. Celebrating Vallejo’s 175th Anniversary as "the World in One City," this massive day-to-night festival transforms the historic downtown corridor and waterfront into a buzzing multicultural street festival.

The event seamlessly blends an international food court, a global makers market, live DJ sets, and a wide array of cultural performances ranging from Polynesian dance troupes to Ballet Folklórico.

💡Insider Tip: Arrive by 8:15 AM to grab a shady spot under the trees! Parking inside the main Moraga Commons lot fills up quickly on event mornings. If the main lot is full, drop your gear at the park and head across the street to the St. Mary's Road overflow areas or adjacent neighborhood streets.

Cap off the summer at the grand finale of Pleasant Hill’s Sunset by the Lake concert series. Gather along the scenic City Hall lakeside for an evening of live classic rock performed by The Big Jangle, a premier Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers tribute band. This family-friendly community send-off to summer features a lineup of local food trucks, communal Adirondack seating, and a dedicated Family Fun Zone complete with bounce houses for kids.
