Grab your lawn chairs and head down to First Street for the City of Benicia 4th of July Celebration! Spanning both Friday and Saturday (July 3rd & 4th), this free community event is packed with food, fun, and a front-row seat to the fireworks. Festivities kick off Friday at 6:30 PM and Saturday at 3:00 PM. See you there!

Earn your afternoon BBQ space! Concord is going all out on Saturday morning, July 4th, at Todos Santos Plaza. Lace up your sneakers for the Stars & Stripes 5K Run & Walk at 8:15 AM (there’s a Kids Fun Run at 8:00 AM too!), grab a plate at the Rotary Pancake Breakfast, and then claim a prime spot along Main Street for the annual Independence Day Parade kicking off at 10:00 AM. It's the ultimate hometown holiday tradition!

Did you know the nation's longest 4th of July parade is right in our backyard? Spanning a massive 3.3 miles with over 2,500 participants, the 49th Annual City of Alameda 4th of July Parade is an absolute bucket-list Bay Area tradition. The spectacular procession kicks off at 10:00 AM sharp at the corner of Park Street and Lincoln Avenue. This massive celebration features over 150 unique entries, marching bands, equestrians, and antique cars. It's completely free, vibrant, and the ultimate way to celebrate the holiday! 🥁✨

Keep the party going right after the Alameda Parade! Head over to the historic aircraft carrier for a massive "Steel Beach Party & BBQ" on the flight deck. From 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, they are turning the flight deck into an epic 4th of July BBQ bash featuring live music, food, and drinks. Plus, your admission ticket gets you full access to the museum and free tours up into the Admiral's bridge and Captain's chair (normally a paid add-on).

If you are looking for a unique twist on holiday tradition, head over to The Spirit Ship Celebration on the Mare Island Promenade from 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM. They are celebrating America's 250th and Vallejo's 175th with live dance music from The Floorshakers, magic shows, and an amazing custom drone show lighting up the night sky. Best of all, it's one of the most affordable spots around—you can grab a Family Pack for just $25 that covers 2 adults and up to 4 kids! Bring your blankets and enjoy the waterfront vibes.

Celebrate the 4th with a hometown musical tradition! Grab a spot on the grass at Civic Park for an hour of stirring patriotic music and classic American tunes before your night celebrations begin. Bring your picnic blankets and lawn chairs to the Civic Park Gazebo for a patriotic sunset performance. Enjoy a wonderful 1-hour program of traditional marches, classic Americana, and holiday favorites played by our local concert band. It’s entirely free and fun for all ages!

Run the parade route before the parade! Want an unforgettable morning workout? Sign up for the Alameda 4th of July Parade R.A.C.E.! This epic 5K starts at 8:30 AM (packet pick-up is at 7:30 AM) right on Park Street. The best part? You get to run past the thousands of spectators who are already setting up their lawn chairs for the 49th Annual Parade, making for an incredibly high-energy finish line. $45 for adults if you register ahead of time, and $25 for youth (ages 18 and under), and it all goes to a great cause!
