The Freedom Run is a 5K run and walk through West Oakland that highlights historic Black Panther Party landmarks. Open to all fitness levels, the run is a symbolic journey representing the ongoing fight for freedom, justice, and health equity.

Louis explores the breath-taking dynamics of bubbles, combining comedy and artistry with audience participation and enough spellbinding bubble tricks to keep everyone mesmerized. From square bubbles, bubbles inside bubbles, fog-filled bubbles, giant bubbles, bubble volcanoes, tornados and trampolines to people inside bubbles, the Amazing Bubble Man conjures shrieks of laughter and gasps of amazement from all ages. 

Mezcal and Mole Comedy Night is a live stand-up showcase that mixes bold, Latin-inspired flavor with razor-sharp punchlines. Curated lineups spotlight rising talent and seasoned crowd killers, with comics trading quick-fire bits, off-the-cuff crowd work, and rich storytelling that nods to family, food, and culture.

A monthly open house where families can play local indie games, see digital art, and meet local game developers. It is a highly interactive, kid-friendly environment focused on "preserving playable history

This high-energy skating party features a live DJ and your favorite characters from Wish, Frozen 2, Moana, and The Lion King performing world-class acrobatics and stunning musical numbers. It’s an unforgettable, neon-lit celebration hosted by Mickey and Minnie that will have the whole family dancing in their seats!

On the first Sunday of every month, General Admission to OMCA’s Galleries of California Art, History, and Natural Sciences is free, and tickets to Special Exhibitions in our Great Hall are discounted to $6.
